Walk on the Water

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. Matthew 14:30

Most of us know the story of Jesus walking on water. We know that Peter asked Jesus to allow him to come out onto to the water,  and Jesus allowed him. But Peter became afraid and began to sink, then Jesus reached out His hand and saved him. Faith is important and it was something that Peter was lacking, so he began to sink.

Don't be afraid to try something new or make a change in your life. You might be afraid and you don't know how things are going to turn out but just trust in God. He won't allow you to sink. He'll always be there for you, no matter what happens. Don't let your fear get in the way of your blessing. You'll regret it. Sometimes we think that it's so hard to step out by faith, and it definitely is at first but once you do it, you realize that it's the best thing you could have done in that situation.

Don't stay where you are. You have to go forward. Maybe what awaits you seems harder than what you're currently doing and you just want to give up before you even begin, I feel that way at times, and it will be harder but it's also better for you. Don't be afraid to move forward just because your next challenge is harder than the one before. Things don't get easier as you go higher; they get much harder and you just have to hang on and step up to the new level that you're assigned for by faith.

Don't give up. Nothing is easy. If you give up on one thing, you'll encounter something else and it'll be just as hard as the one you gave up on. It's life and sometimes things are hard. You can't get anything without hard work.

Never take your eyes off Jesus. You'll sink. Peter was just fine as long as he kept his eye on Jesus, but once he lost sight of Jesus and the things that really matter, he began to sink. Jesus should be first in your life and if you put something or someone else first, you'll sink. Don't be afraid to call out for help. Be humble; if you cry out to Jesus, He'll rescue you.
