What do we believe and why do we believe it?
Thats the question ringing in your mind whether you're an Atheist or a Christian.
It all starts with the same evidence.
What determines how we interpret that evidence is where we are standing or what we're looking through.
Don't you think that looking through foggy lenses are going to give us foggy results?
Its up to us whether we'll believe the foggy results or we'll question it and then take off the lenses.
A lot of us keep the lenses on and the fog becomes normal.
So, here's an example of a conversation between an Atheist and a Christian:
(About evolution: Of course people got here somehow. Thats the evidence that we have. Now the question is how? A lot of people say that the big bang created the universe and we evolved. Others say that God created the universe in 7 days. Now how did these people come up with those conclusions?)
Atheist: Do you believe that God created the universe or do you think it was evolution?
Christian: Of course God created the universe!
Atheist: No, The big bang created the universe and we evolved over time.
Christian: Thats nonsence! God created the universe. Why do you believe in the big bang?
Atheist: Well, looking at the beauty of the earth i can conclude that its far to great to have had a creator. Why do you believe in creation?
Christian: Well all things on earth have a creator, right?
Atheist: Yes...
Christian: So, I look at the creations of humans and the things are beautiful. Now I look at my self and the people around me - We are far more complex that a creation that a human made. So, if a human can make something great, how is it possible that the Universe (way better than any human creation) has no creator. That makes no sense.
Atheist: No, no. Look. I look at this universe and say " Its too great to have a creator."
Christian: No, Its too great NOT to have a creator. Look at it. It couldn't have come here by itself.
*They walk to the window and look out.*
Atheist: It is beautiful... But I still can't understand.
And so because of their perspectives they both took the same evidence and interpreted it in very different ways.
Now I know that its hard to understand.
But all you need to understand is that Jesus loves you and he died to set you free.
Isn't it great to know that there's someone who loves you regardless of what you've done?
