What is your heart saying today?

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.    - Luke 6:45

What is your heart saying today? The Bible says, in the book of Luke, that out of the abundance of the heart his [your] mouth speaketh. Examine the words that come out of your mouth because they might just be revealing the emotions and desires of your heart. The words that come out of your mouth could be the result of a broken heart or a happy heart. If your intentions are not right, your words will not be able to edify. You can only say one thing and believe another for so long until the truth comes out.

When your heart is filled with evil desires you will not and you cannot prosper. Filth and hatred will always come out of your mouth. Do you want a clean heart? David said, 'Create in me a clean heart O God and renew in me a right spirit ...' Take David as an example: He sinned greatly BUT he went to God truthfully and admitted his sins each time. He then asked God to create in him a clean heart. All you need to do is ask. God will grant you the desires of your heart as long as they are pure. He will give you what you need.

If your heart is cluttered and unclean, ask yourself 'What is my heart saying?' Is it saying, "Lord, I want to change." or is it defiant? The words that come out of your mouth is a result of what is in your heart. Until your heart is clean you will not make progress. You will continue to be stagnant. You'll never do anything good; anything helpful. Your intentions are not right.

There is hope for you. If you follow what David did, pouring out your heart to God, He will hear you. The Bible says 'A broken and a contrite heart He will not despise ...' He will hear the cry of the uttermost parts of your soul. He will come to you and rescue you. You will have peace; you will have joy but you need to ask God to 'Create in me a clean heart...'
