Love

You know, honestly and I don't mean this offensively, I could care less about what you think about me. I used to care and it was hard carrying that weight. But then I thought well, whose opinion do I really care about? Who has the final word on my life? And most of all, who formed me in His image? So, when I used to care about the opinions of others I had pain, fear, and low self confidence. I thought deeply about what others thought about me and soon began to miss the truth about my life. This truth is true for me as well as you. You have been wonderfully and fearfully made by a God who loves you unconditionally.
He’ll go to the highest extent to get you to understand His love for you. You see, It doesn’t matter if no one else loves you. Once you experience the transcendent love of Jesus Christ, you feel more loved than you could possibly imagine. Then you begin to love yourself and through loving yourself you can love others.
First, you really need to understand who you are. Until you understand that you can never really love yourself or others. You’ll love yourself to a certain extent but not as much as you really should. I don’t care what race or religion you are, this is the ultimate truth about you: God loves you very much and He wants you to love Him too. He formed you in His image and He clothed you in His glory. He created you above plants and animals and He gave you dominion over them. You are special.
You are special individually, also. God has a purpose for the life of everyone on earth. You may think that there’s no point to your life, but there is. God has a mission for you. He won’t tell you completely His purpose for you but He’ll give you insight to lead your way. So, If you hear His voice hearken unto it – because that is the first step in fulfilling your life’s purpose.
Not everyone is a Christian, you might be saying, God only has a plan for Christians. But no, the universe belongs to God – Christian or not. He loves each of us equally. The reason why a Christian is a Christian is because they have started their journey to fulfilling their purpose. Trust me, God can take you to places you’ve never imagined being. He can take you through storms, fire and rain. He can make you strong.
As I said, I don’t care what anyone else may think about me. The reason for that is because I know what God thinks about me. Once you know the truth about the thoughts that the almighty God has for you, you won’t even consider the petty thoughts of mere humans. It won’t matter to you whether someone loves you or hates you.
You’re special and God loves you with an unconditional love. It doesn’t matter whether you hate Him or love Him, He’ll always love you. Even if you don’t accept Him, He still loves you. You see, His love towards you will never change. People can love you today and hate you tomorrow. Our love is not perfect but God’s love never changes.
If you want to love better, first love God. He’s the author of love. All types of love originate from Him. When you love God, His love rubs off on you and your attitude becomes better. Because of your good attitude people are drawn towards you. You have a patience and meekness that you’ve never known. Calmness and serenity overcomes you. You find yourself happier and more content. You find yourself more empathetic and considerate. You become more caring and kind. You learn to put others before yourself and most importantly you learn to love.
