Beauty from the mind of God

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
When most people view beauty, the first thing that comes to mind is appearance. Beauty is not about appearance but it is about the heart. True beauty is from the inside out. It begins inside of you then it works its way outward. Mankind may look at you and judge you based on your appearance but only God knows your heart. God looks on the intentions of your heart and the desire of your heart. Mankind cannot do that so they judge and ridicule and condemn.

One thing that many people don't realize is their value. People have spent so much time putting you down that you don't even think to ask if their wrong. You search and yearn for approval from other people while missing that you need the approval of God. You dress the way the world wants you to dress, you talk the way the world wants you to talk and you walk the way the world wants you to walk. God has set standards for you. As a child of God there are certain things that you can and cannot do;things that you cannot partake of. These things are poison to your soul  and God wants you to stay away from them.

The Lord knows what is best for you and anything that He stops you from doing is only for your good. He doesn't want you to be entangled in the deadly affairs of this wicked world, so He has sanctified you and called you out of the world. Once God has called you out of the world you must stay separated from this world.  Don't yield to temptations; They're not worth it. Stay away from sin and iniquity.

God wants to preserve you, His treasure, so He keeps you away from anything that can destroy you. I encourage you to follow Jesus and keep His commandments. Trust Him and obey Him because He knows what is best for you. When you follow Him, He will bring out the inner beauty that is within you and you will shine from the inside out.

    Hi, SdannieG!
This is my first visit to your blog--I truly love your passion for sharing Gods truth. I just heard a powerful testimony from a former bigtime runway model from the 1990s (Jennifer Strickland). She has an amazing story of being judged by her gorgeous external appearance but never being appreciated for who she was on the inside. Your post is right on track...God sees our true self, not just the wrapping.

    Keep up the good work.
