Did you just spit in Jesus's face?

"When you see one of my hurting children, I want you to see me."
Imagine this: You're walking along the streets of Manhattan and you come across a family. Their clothes are covered in dirt and their faces are tear-stained. They're crying out for your help but you just pass them by with a smirk on your face. You've neglected the helpless family. You've just neglected Jesus.
You are a liar and a hypocrite because you claim to love Jesus but you treat His children like filth. You should be utterly ashamed.
These people are crying out to you for help and you just scream and yell? On Calvary Jesus was thirsty and they gave Him vinegar. He could have came off that cross and rejected you just like you've rejected that family. The Romans whipped Him and beat Him; They spat upon His face... They crucified Him. He hung on that cross and went through that agony for YOU. Now you have the to reject Him like that? You have the audacity to spit in the face of your loving saviour and then claim to love Him.
Every sunday you attend church and sing "I love Jesus..." but your actions don't show love. Paul was persecuting the Christians but he truly believed that He loved God. He believed that he was doing this evil for God. What he didn't know is that he was persecuting Jesus; Persecuting God.
"What you do unto the least of them, you do unto me." No one deserves to be treated badly, no one deserves torture. I don't care how much of a minority the person is, they are special in the sight of God. They are children of God and God loves them as much as He loves you. You are no better than that person on the street. God loves them as much as He loves you.
These people are precious. They are worth so much more than you can ever imagine. When you see them going through their situations, don't laugh. God only gives certain situations to people who can handle it. They can handle that situation but you can't that is why they have it and you don't. These people are so much stronger than you are that is why God gave them that situation. When God brings them out of it, They will come back 100x better than they were in the beginning.
What are you going to do the next time you see a hurting child of God? Are you going to spit in Jesus's face again and reject the person or are you going to show that you love God and kindle help the person up? God has been so good to you; why must you treat Him in such a way? God loves you, love His people.

  1. amen!!amen!!in psalm 82:4,it says "rescue the poor and helpless!"we should help the poor and homeless, some people reject them, even christians now days.christians say that homeless people are being punished by god but they dont realize they are spitting on gods face.we should help the poor-even if there not christians-jesus said love 'everybody' as your self.we should show love even as jesus showed us love.he didn't have to die on the cross.he could have made us pay.but he did it for us.thats love.thats why the bible says that god is love.now we have to show love to christians and non'christians.

    god bless.

  2. Thank you so much for this well written and inspirational message. I know a lot of people are a little leary about aproaching someone on the streets because of all the violence there is in the world. I know that there had been several times my wife and I have stopped and helped someone in need, but only when we feel the Spirit of God tugging at our hearts. This post should make us all stop and think. God bless, Lloyd
