Don't give up. You can make it to the top.
There's a song by Toby Mac that says, "We lose our way, but we get back up again... It's never too late to get back up again. You may be knocked down but not out forever." I agree with his statement because he's proving to us that regardless of what happens we CAN get up again. It is possible and with God, you can do it. With Him you can do all things. (Phillipians 4:13 KJV) When the things of life knock you off your feet, it doesn't matter what they may be, God will help you to get up again.
The Lord will be there to reach down His hand and pull you up, but it will never happen unless you have the will to make it happen. You have to believe in your heart that you want to get up, you want to make it and you have to trust God to lift you up. We all fall sometimes. We all have things that brings us pain and discomfort. It's called life. Some of us have more troubles than others but we all have an equal opportunity to rise from those troubles through the help of God, which is most important.
In the end, it doesn't really matter what your situation was, how bad it hurt, or even how long it took you to get back on your feet. In the end, what matters is whether or not you persevered to the end, whether or not you stood by God's word and you had the will to go on. No one can reach the top of a mountain, regardless of their strength or other physical abilities, unless they're able to dedicate themselves to reaching the top. Everything we do begins in our mind, that's why our mind is so important and so powerful. Our mind can be the cause of our hindrances as well as our progression.
When David went out to fight Goliath in battle, I'm sure he first believed in his mind that he would win. There are three things I notice with David in this particular battle, which we all should use. David had the will to fight. Whatever we do we need to have the will to do it, otherwise it won't work. David also went in the name of the LORD his God. If you go in the name of the LORD, you will never fail. The Bible says "The name of the LORD is a strong and mighty tower, the righteous runneth therein and they are saved." God will always protect you and defend you. He said it in His word. His words are yea, and they are amen meaning they are always true without question or debate.
David also laid aside every weight that would hold him back. He was offered armors, and shields, and swords. He denied it and fought against Goliath with 5 stones, which brings me to my next point. What is the weapon of your warfare? Is it carnal or is it "mighty through God for the bringing down of strongholds?" David's weapon was of God. He laid aside the sword but instead he picked up five pebbles which represented the name of the LORD. Know your weapon. Is your approach to your situation Godly or is it of the world? If it's of the world, change it.
The LORD of Hosts is your defender. He will fight for you, but do you have the will to make it to the top?
