There's a song by Misty Edwards that says (from God's perspective), "I knew what I was getting into when I called you." God knows you inside and out; He even knows you better than you know yourself. He knew that you would fall. He knew that you would make mistakes. He doesn't regret calling you. He saved you by His own precious blood and He chose you out of the multitude. He called you for a purpose. So, when you fall, don't be discouraged. God sees that you struggle and He is able to uphold you. When He called you He didn't command you to take care of yourself, but He said to cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you. You're not holding His hand; He's holding yours. If you slip, He'll catch you. All you have to do, He said, Is trust and obey. Come back to Him when you fall. Don't give up. Don't quit. You see, God knows you. He knows all about you. He knows your desires, your weaknesses and your fears. He knew in the beginning that you would fall, but He still chose you. He loves you and He delights in you. God loves you. That is why He picks you up when you fall. The Lord called you for a purpose. He didn't call you because you were perfect. He called you because you are a vessel that He can use. He sees that you're not clean, He sees that you're broken. He sees that you're marred, but He called you because He has a treasure to store in you. He will continue to mold you, and as He molds you, you may fall and you may become bruised but He will mend your broken pieces and put you back together again. In the end, you will be a perfect, and unmarred vessel for the Lord but right now you're in the process. You'll fall but trust Him to pick you back up again.
